Bike Description & Terrain

DESIGNED BY

Words from Spindatt himself:
"With the Norton, I wanted a frame with all of the modern features of popular/fun hardtails on the market, in a beginner-attractive package and price. That means boost spacing, tapered head tube, routing for a dropper post cable, 130mm travel, and more aggressive trail-focused geometry. Compare THAT to what every other company offers for beginners: a cookie-cutter XC bike with a straight steerer and quick-release wheels (hardly machines with any longevity).
The Norton’s geometry is inspired by more costly industry hardtails that riders are having the most fun on. The focus is to have something that can feel at home on most terrains.
Chunky descent? Sure.
Fast flow trail? Yes.
Urban Street Cruising? OK.
BMX tricks? Actually: yes.
XC Trails? Of Course.
Long Climb? If you must.
The Norton is perfectly reasonable."

Been riding it every day for about a week and a half and I think it's great. no complaints, not a single one. I've heard some people say they'd change the forks or brakes but I think it's perfect as is.

What a Wonderful machine

The Norton is my second Poseidon bike and it is even better! You guys knocked it out of the park. Coming from a ragley blue pig , the Norton is on the planted side stable and secure. love the lower bottom bracket and the high stack.
Body position is very well balanced front to rear. Components are good for the money and the whole bike is the best MTB for sub $700.
Cheers to you Poseidon team, for building a bike with such a killer geometry. I struggle to find anything I don't like about it. I'm nit picky here but the bottom bracket shell doesn't have a hole in it to allow for water drainage. You could fill up the seat tube with water if you try.
Your Norton gives me so much joy. Cheers Poseidon 🙂.
