Bikepacking. Have it all.
The Dropbar offers a unique experience when riding on trails. You have multiple hand positions to choose from so if one position starts to get uncomfortable you can freely switch between the others.
Dropbars allow you to tuck lower and put a bit more power down on the flatter roads. Not to mention the thrill of descending in the drops! The dropbar handlebar makes even the most simple of trails feel a bit more exciting and gives you the opportunity to choose your lines.
You'll gain a bit more bike handling knowledge and technique as it's not the typical handlebar choice you may have been accustomed to. Longer miles will feel that much better knowing you have more options to choose from to rest your hands.

Seriously the best bang for your buck BY FAR!!! The Redwood has exceeded any expectations I have ever had… the geo rips, mounts for DAYS!!! the thing is burly, bombproof… built like a tank!! Rides amazing loaded or unloaded… pavement or chunk… up or down… bikepacking… commuting… singletrack… the redwood can DO IT ALL!! My favorite bike to ride! Poseidon really knocked it out of the park with this one no joke!!! If you’re hesitant or thinking of pulling the trigger on one… DO IT!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!
This is really a do-it-all bike. Gravel? Perfect. MTB trails? Absolutely (and you'll feel so much cooler than that other guy on his full-squish ride). Pavement? You bet - just slap some less aggressive tires on and you're good to go (I recommend GravelKing SK 650x53 for a do-everything-well choice).
A bike "for the people" - well built, solid components, realistic gearing, affordable. A great price for a solid rig that you can use as a foundation when/if you want to make it your own.
I was looking for a gravel bike I can take everywhere. Someone suggested me to look into Poseidon, since all others were sold out. I wasn't looking to spend too much. Ordered the Poseidon Redwood, shipping was quick, and packaging was nice.. I had the bike at home. So far put over 1500 miles and I love it. Issues: bike arrived with both wheels out of truing, had local bike shop true it, front rim has a dent that they can't fix. Right had to look for a new wheelset. Something I wasn't expecting. Other than that its a good bike. Remember you are getting a Aluminum frame gravel bike for under $1000.
Only reason I gave 4 stars, due to the wheelset issue. I never got a response from Poseidon.
I’ve been riding bikes for years, I needed a strong reliable gravel road bike that could help me adventure around the wetlands of Florida’s Everglades. With a length of levee roads and off shoots that require a little effort to get thru sand and mud, the Redwood is right at home. It’s nimble, it can carry everything, and it rides effortlessly. I could not have asked for a more well equipped, functional, and versatile bike for my rides. If you need something that can handle many terrains, look no further! The bike loves to run!
